A cute little parcel of these new rose gold eye and brow products – L’Oreal Paradise collection just arrived on my desk!
Rose Gold? Clearly the love of this colour hasn’t quite waned just yet? My 16 years old adores these – they’re definitely not aimed at MY slightly more sophisticated makeup bag shall we say; but boy are they nifty and cute! There are 5 great brow shades, with brush popped into the lid. Only £9.99
Also shown Paradise Kajal super smoky eyeliner for a sexy, Indian summer (if we’re lucky) look, and Paradise Mascara, each to load up around your eyes.
ANY APPLICATION TIPS JO?
WITH BROW COLOUR?
Go just one shade darker than your brows, not more, not less. You don’t want them to look as if they’ve been painted on…unless you’re 16 of course when that just seems OK for some reason? (Note – they too will look back at photos of themselves in years to come…oh no, it’s OK there won’t be anything actually ‘printed’ as a sacred memory – their reputation is intact!)
WITH KAJAL LINER?
These are generally slippery little suckers. Unlike many long-wear liners around today (I love Hourglass Charlotte Tilbury) kajal pencils are designed to smudge to be more sexy. So when you’re created the look you desire, dab a tiny bit of powder over the top (using a fine brush) just to fix it, otherwise it will smudge more throughout the evening.
Just to wiggle the brush right into the roots before brushing along the length of the lashes. Done well you can almost go without eyeliner! In fact, I rather like applying mascara before anything and then smudging it with a cotton bud ( or finger tip I am that bothered) along the roots for an invisible eyeliner. I just prefer discreet makeup!
